Used this to replace my SeaStar unit, this helm pump is awesome. Very well built.

The unit works great little difficult to install and bleed but it is a direct or replacement for the sea star

Worked great only issues I ran into was I had to order the back mounting plate. My previous sea star helm was bigger so I had to have the mounting plate. Very affordable and easy to install.

Works great no leaks steering is actually easier

Item was an exact match for my Seastar helm that was not balancing and hard to turn. The HH5271-3 is a direct replacement helm and fit the same hole in the console. The use of the ORB fittings made it very easy to connect and angle the hydraulic hoses. Filling and bleeding the system was very easy for one person. After bleeding, rotation is smooth and easy to turn and engines remain in position after being lifted. Overall very pleased with the product and price is well worth it, highly recommended if you need a replacement helm.

Expected to be some fabrication of the console needed since it's basically a copy of my original pump from another company. Happy to say none were needed. Been on the boat for a while now & works perfectly.
