I had enough with cable steer. I have a 17ft xpress h17 with 115 Yamaha 4 stroke. During launch, I would have hold left hard. If at anytime I let go of wheel, it would violently turn right. I was debating between this unit and the baystar($200 more) and chose this. I installed this myself. During idle I got the boat heading straight. Let go of the wheel and nailed it. Its like riding a rail. Doesnt move unless you turn it. I was doing 42mph in a S curve steering with one finger. Night and day difference.The hardest part of the install was removing the cable system. Tie a rope to your cable so you can pull your hoses through. Watch a few videos on YouTube and youre set. Don't be afraid of this product. I'd buy it again.

Good product but unclear as to what it would fit. Was able to purchase a $25 adapter and make it work fine on my Honda 130.

No fluid but goes in pretty fast. Carefully read the instructions.

Instruction are a little hard to understand (chinglish) but easy to follow. Hardest part was getting the old steering mechanism out. Bleeding was easy but forget about the tube attachment they give you. I just filled the pump directly from the bottle and topped it off after bleeding. Let it sit overnight and topped it off again. Steering fluid does not come with the kit. I have a 60hp Mercury big foot. It was so hard to steer and I couldn't loosen it up. I can turn with one finger now. Well worth the cost in my opinion.

Does not come with the fluid. Must buy seperately so add that into your cost. After that, its about $100 cheaper than the next cheapest brand and much cheaper than seastar. I have not installed it yet but i did a lot of research and i have examined parts well. Noerl is the brand. Looks just like the baystar system from seastar. Solid helm pump and cylinder. This is not junk. This is quality for less. The jack plates from sea star are the exact same size and are totally compatible.... FYI. This doesnt fit all engines! You may need to buy a different jack plate from seastar for certain engines. All the parts are compatible. Go to the seastar website and look up your motor. This unit is identical to their base 150 HP unit. They are virtually identical. This system is built well and solid. Its not cheap nor does you get what you pay for apply here. I say save the money and buy this one. You have amazon behind you if something goes wrong anyways. Also you can use ATF or power steering fluid. Way cheaper. Confirm yourself dont trust me. But youll see if you research. I will update after install.UPDATE!Installed today. Very easy to to! The directions arent the best but if youre buying this you probavly know what youre getting into. This is just like the more expensive models! Only thing is i cant go all the way uo with the engine anyore, but its only like 2 inches less than All the way up, so who cares.Very easy to fill and bleed. I did it myself, you dont need a 2nd person. It steers like butter! One finger can now turn my boat engine. I am so pleased wirh this product! I will update again after use on the water.

I purchased a different one and had to return due to issues. I will have to say this one is built a lot better and the quality is great.
