The pictures of the machine do not do it justice. This is more specifically for a mid cabinet installation where the height of the counter is approximately 1 foot off the ground with a floor drain available. Since I did not have a floor drain available and an outside installation was not recommended, I installed this at the end of my kitchen cabinets using the Amazon 30 x 14 wire shelving unit. This also required fixing a drain tube to run from the ice maker into my sink. For this I used 1 1/2 inch PVC piping with four 90 degree elbows to create the downward track needed to go to my sink and not spill onto the counter. Other than that, the problems that I have with the unit are minimal, and are as follows:1. Would have preferred a metal ice scoop instead of the plastic2. Would have preferred the water filter to be mounted to the back of the machine or a corner.3. The machine was delivered upside down by Fed-Ex. This required a delay in installation to ensure that all available oil in the compressor settled properly. (Not a Seller/MFGR issue, but delivery carrier)The Pros to this machine. on the setting for ice that I am using, I will fill up the ice bay (which is approximately 8 inches deep by 8 inches wide by 18 inches long) twice per day.I use approximately 40 to 60 pounds of ice every Sunday for bottled water at my church for our volunteers. So, this purchase has already saved me time and energy having to go to the store for ice.
