Have used similar for cleaning out dryer vents and that worked well so tried this for chimney/insert cleaning. First use was after 5 years of occasional wood burning and visible there was not a lot of visible build up but it did result in bring out and down debris. Simply plug into your drill and feeding it up the chimney attaching more lengths as needed. What came with this was more than sufficient for the height of our chimney single store with high ceiling and tall roof line. In comparing it to the type used to clean dryer vents the bristles are much more heavy duty but not as thick so it seems a little flimsy or over flexible in sue compared to the smaller thicker bristles of the dryer type so took a little adjusting to get used to the use and feel of this product. It worked well and helps with cleaning out the insert.

This is the best chimney sweep you will find. My chimney is 28' long and roof is 9/12 pitch. Before this, I had to get on the roof, take off the top 4" of chimney, sweep it from above and reinstall the chimney. Now, I can do it from inside the house. I made a plywood door for the stove that I put on after I have the sweep inserted (to capture the dust from getting inside my house), turn the drill on and push it up to the top of the chimney. This is the best design I've ever seen, it is so flexible and strong. Do yourself a favor and buy this now. So much better than any other sweep I've seen or used.

I use a creosote removal powder twice a week in my wood stove, which is used continuously during the heating season. When I used this brush the day after it removed the loosened buildup quite well. It was a relief not to have to climb the roof. And now even if there is snow cover on the roof I can clean my chimney. I am quite pleased with the results and with the ease of use.

Used it once and it works. I did put one rod aside because it kept on popping off.

But by all means if you hire a chimney sweep, be sure they really are certified, licensed and insured before allowing them to touch your stuff! Demand to see proof!

The chimney brush kit worked great for cleaning my wood burning stove. Every year I would take all the pipes apart and wire brush them to clean. Now instead of it taking 4 hours and climbing up on the roof a few times, I just use the brush kit from the inside of my stove with a shop vac running to suck up all the soot. I was done in less than a half hour. I was very impressed on how it was able to work so well with a 90 degree turn in my pipe. Each connection snapped on easily. My only regret is that I did not use this sooner. It has made cleaning the wood stove so much easier and saved me a lot of time and effort.

This chimney sweep kit worked flawlessly. I was able to clean my stainless steel lined chimney in short order from my basement. The rods went together securely with no indication that would come apart during cleaning.The rubber head and whip-like tentacles marched right through the thimble.turned 90 degrees and up through the chimney using my 110 Volt 1/4: electric drill as a power source. The rods and heads were nicely packaged, assembly was pretty easy, although I struggled sometimes trying to push the button in for the rod connections (like socket wrench buttons) which might actually be a good thing because it assured me they wouldn't come apart inside the chimney. I was very satisfied with this product. Vevor shipping and communication about the status of the order was excellent.

cleaned out chimney its only 18ft long. i was done in minutes and it was clean. we have a clay tile chimney so shopped around to make sure to find one that works and wont beat up the tiles. i read some of the reviews and watched a few videos. if you have clay tiles go slow when spin it. so the head don't bounce around violently. i found i didn't have to any ways. i fed it to the top. and slowly spun it while move it down slow. and it legit cleaned out tiles. unknown years or decades since it had been cleaned prior. could guess over 20 years. i don't think ill need to buy this again as it is well built and will last. here is what is great about this product. it don't screw together. it uses the push pin system. so you can spin either way and it don't matter. :) that was a huge selling point to me.
