With wood prices being as they are, I purchased this tool to mostly correct pallet wood. I needed something cheap, easy to repair, and with cutting tools the can be repaired/replaced easily and cheap. I was not expecting much from it, just clean up the wood to finish it on my much more expensive tooling( Jansen cutting head is a $783 rebuild this is $40 ). I have found this tool to be amazing! It’s a single blade that doesn’t gouge the heck out of wood, sniping is very minimal. This is a good jointer/ planer.

The unit was easy to assemble and adjust the cutter blades. Work stand height is excellent.

Flating wood is most important in the case of woodworking. If you're trying to achieve great looking work its proper to have flat wood. This machine provides that.

The reason I didn’t leave 5 stars because the assembly instructions were out dates causing me to believe that the item was missing parts that it was not.There were some missing screws, but I replaced them very easily at Home Depot and they gave me a really good refund to cover both the cost and my trouble for replacing them. Also, the instructions could be a bit more clear, but they were workable.The company was very responsive and Qi k to help. I had some trouble finding out how to turn it on, and they resolved the issue with me with one email. It was me not understanding the instructions. (They also said, if the item was broken, they would refund the cost without having to ship it back, which was good because it’s really heavy.)The item is made from quality material and I’ve used it with good results.I’d go with the 10” one for a little more if it was available when I ordered this, but since I’ve bought it already bought it, I’ll just keep it.I recommend the item.

I did a bit of research and ended up pulling the trigger on this one rather than the craftsman at the local big box store. Difference between the seemed to be the placement of the vacuum port. Other than that, looked like most parts would even sway (not indicating they will btw). This is accurate - powerful and sturdy. Well built. The instructions are beyond horrible for assembly - but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to put it together. Overall - for the money - great little purchase.

Good jointer. It’s important to note that it takes practice, and you can’t just run a huge 2x4 through it without supports, it will come out wonky. Take time and practice, and you’ll be able to create really fine and almost invisible joints. I ran through a few practice boards to get the hang of it, and I’m really glad I took a chance on a product without extensive reviews

Assembly was easy. Works well. Did not need to adjust the blades. The fence could be sturdier. It'll flex a little if your piece is too heavy or too long.

This is a great jointer device. The instructions were not clear, but I figured out how to assemble it. I measured the parralelness between the infeed and outfeed using a level and a machine square, and it was parallel within my knowledge. I just wish I could order replacement blades.
