I needed to set it on max to get the welds I was looking for.

This works well, But, if you are looking to do a bunch, you need more power, you need to pay more. Makes small welds and needs to be hit several times. Hit too many time or too often, you reset the main breaker. If you are planning to do a bunch of welds, get a bigger machine. Works good for me, I don't do much.

I had to wait for my BMS's to show up so I have had this in the box until i needed it. I put mine on settings 2P/80 amps. This weld holds...I cannot remove nickel strip with my had and actually cut myself pretty good. I had to use pliers to remove the welded strip. So the weld is strong and not crap. I was a little scared at first to buy this device but I just had to jump in with both feet otherwise what are the other options? They only get more expensive and you just want this to do its job and do it right. This tool will work for you. I did not get a dud or one that did not work. No complaints here.

Welder works great on 0.2mm pure nickel. It might even weld thicker strips. I haven't tried.. The remote welding handle gets to hot and starts malfunction pretty quickly tho..

Not bad, better than expected.Tried 1mm, 1.5 & 2mm thickness welding strips.They all work, you have to find the sweet spot for each (amps & pulse).Spring loaded electrode system kinda mickey mousy, a little crazy glue took care of that.Just tested some welds for now, works well, must have clean surfaces (great welds & minimizes sparking).Foot switch works good (better control).I'll be building a power pack soon and will be able to evaluate better.It'll be nice not to have to solder Li-on batteries from now on (scary!)

The shipping was fast and this item was as advertised. Maybe due to language barrier many of the small jewelry spot welders, like this one, claim to be argon gas compatable but this one is one of the few that are set up for argon. It is easy to learn on comes with every thing but the argon tank set-up. You will need to buy an argon tank the flowmeter, or regulator, a 1\4 OD hose that goes into the welder and a 1\4 OD adapter for the regulator to plug the hose into. there is a video of this machine being hooked up on YouTube to give you an idea. it can also be used without the argon but it makes better welds when argon gas is used.

Great little fusing machine, I use it regularly and it is solidly made.

Works great! I even hooked up a hand-held rig directly to the arms. -John B
