I would give this 5 stars if the delivery was better. Shipped FedEx and it took forever to get here. Promised delivery on the 18th and arrived the 23rd. Every time I get something shipped by these people it is late on arrival. Make sure you ship by any other means. And I used to work for them. Never again. Product is as advertised. Note the cabling is short so an extension cable will be needed if you don't already have one on the boat.

Seems well made. Will update upon performance. I have installed the controller and everything works great. Worth the money.

Trim switch didn’t work had to buy a new trim switch all in all tho worked great.

Good quality control handle. Instructions on changing cable directions were good. I had to change the throttle control from push to pull. Since it's a Suzuki control seems it would have been set up from the factory in that position. The decal on the handle shows the boat going backwards, so disregard that. Adding throttle in reverse is stiff but should smooth out with use.

After many days of researching these gen 2 units i learned they are all Chinese units with a specific companies logo added. BUT after close inspection i determined that VEVOR is the winner. It seems like vevor listened to the bad reviews and fixed the biggest problem, the high idle lever. It seems like vevor removed the cheep factory lever and replaced it with a much stronger lever. You can tell by the nesting place on the unit doesn't quite match the lever but thats a good thing because its been improved and feels solid, the frame of the unit almost feels like its metal or good quality plastic “ tough critic approved”. The shifting motion feels strong meaning good. Not only that but the lever can be swapped left or right and rotated also so the trim button is always by the thumb no matter if the lever is on the left or right. The only problem i had was the ring nut that holds the ignition tight was to cheep to function BUT my simple solution to that was to re use the old one off my old unit BRILLIANT. After not knowing if i waisted my money or not, I've determined this was a good purchase and im happy with it. I still have my doubts with all the other gen 2 units but this brand VEVOR seems like the one to buy.

Would recommended to anyone with a Yamaha outboard that would like to save some money!
