This motor has the power to drive my air compressor. After researching I discovered that the motor I had replaced the original one was a 5 HP SPL. Apparently the SPL means that it is not a true 5 HP for running the compressor pump.

Great value ! ONLY. I thought it was 1750 rpm motor that I ordered. Didn't pay attention until I mounted and turned it ON I found out it was o over 3000 rpm and nearly spun my concrete mixer into a cotton candy machine. Otherwise I still think it was a good value and quality product. JLW.

I own a 53-year-old Sears Craftsman air compressor / paint sprayer (original owner). That unit has served me so well, but recently the motor gave up the ghost. I bought a Vevor replacement motor and to my delight everything about the replacement lined up perfectly with the old one. It was super easy to swap out (less than two hours) including guards and pully. It was surprisingly affordable and it arrived just two days after I ordered it (I live in south central PA). It was prewired to my exact needs (luckily) and all the bolt holes lined up perfectly. Good packaging, good instructions. Runs great. Highly recommended. Buy with confidence.

I have been using this motor since March of 2023. I don’t like doing reviews a day later. No information is taking seriously on my part. I do have this motor wired as a 120. And I am using it to supply air to 2 20 gallon tanks. It’s in an extremely hot environment. And a motor wired for 1/2 potential. Supplying 40 gallons ( 2 -20 gallons in different locations) is asking a lot.) but after 5 months! It’s still going strong. I’m useing for sanding and painting an old mustang.

Works great on my old Dayton 2 Stage 3 Cylinder air compressor. Installed on a 220 volt 20 Amp double pole breaker with no issues.

Works like the original, mounted in the original slots, this one was much less expensive. Shipped reasonably quick without damage. It's mounted and repaired a Campbell husfield compressor we use in the shop
