First Time Buyer
I purchased this appliance for the first time to eliminate the need to buy bottled, distilled water. It worked perfectly. The instructions were not readable but I went to YouTube and reviewed the available videos on how to set it up and to clean the unit after use. Good purchase.

Overall it was a good product
I liked everything but when pouring from the container it does have poor sprout.

Temperature control is the way to go
This distiller works very well. I have read several reviews complaining about water taste not being consistent from batch to batch and other issues. Others have complained about the TDS (total dissolved solids) being high after the distillation process. Anyway, I have come up with a routine that so far each batch is consistent in taste (taste exactly like commercial distilled water), and the TDS is zero as it should be. Best of all, I don't use the charcoal filter.I fill it up with hot water. At my location it takes 20 minutes to reach full boil. I let it boil with the lid (fan unit) off for 5 to 7 minutes (this allows the VOC gases to boil off). I then place the lid on and collect the first half cup in a separate container - this is discarded just like "moonshiners do in their process. Then I collect in the glass pitcher - I use a timer to control when to shut it off. I leave about an inch of water in the distiller when the timer turns it off. That water is nasty. Leaving water in the distiller makes it easier to clean and avoids the risk of boiling unwanted contaminates at higher temps into your clean water! Following this procedure, my water taste good every time and I do not use the charcoal filter. The only long term concern I have is figuring a good way to prevent moisture from sitting in the condenser loop during storage periods. I worry about a bacteria forming there and that the water is not hot enough at that point to kill the bacteria??? So far, it has not been a problem.I did not have a good experience with Mophorn (the seller), and I don't recommend them. However, the temp controlled distiller works very well and I am please with it

Worth the Money
I have friends who use more expensive models (2-3x the price) that work no better than this one. It is easy to use and takes up little more counter space than a Keurig coffee maker. It will distill one gallon of water in 2 hours or less. I used a dissolved solids meter to measure the purity and it went from 250 ppm tap water to 3 ppm after one run. If you are a purist and want 0 ppm, you will need to double run each batch, which I don't think is worth it, but that's just me. The directions are skimpy, but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out how to use it. It is amazing how much crap it removes from the water. You will need to scour out the reservoir periodically, but it is stainless steel and cleans easily enough. It's a best buy.

Best Distiller I've Used So Far

Clean Water In about 2 hours
I, Shannon P. Robb, use a CPAP and have a dual RO filter to process the water I put in the CPAP, and I still have mineral deposits in my CPAP Tank. After using the water processed by this distilling unit, not only are the TDS reduced (measured), but the deposits remaining in the tank have dissolved and disappeared which didn't happen with the other water. Easy to use - fill to the line, connect all the plugs, set temperature, and wait. the max line in the bowl equals the size of the pot with an inch space. disadvantages - no on/off switch or timer, it allows itself to boil dry, so you have to watch it, and ensure that you unplug it before it is dry otherwise it is difficult to clean.

Great product. (JR)
This distiller is very easy to use. I can adjust temp control for what ever is approrate for the liquid i am distilling. We have been distilling water to use in our coffee pot , ( so no more limed up coffee makers). I would definetly recommend this distiller. I may buy another one. A person can ferment sugar water mash and make vodka or other spirits I love it . Thanks from JR.

Pure Water | The Smart Way To Go
We love our Mophorn Distiller which we use mainly for health reasons. And because of this, we are continuing to experience positive results with our health. This is our 3rd 4L distiller purchased in the past 18 months. The 1st distiller purchased from eBay was total crap... The 2nd distiller purchased also from eBay just happened to be a Mophorn Distiller, which can easily put out 24L in 24hrs if necessary. This 3rd distiller (Mophorn Water Distillers Countertop Stainless Steel 4L 750W Digital Control) was purchased because we wanted more pure water to be available for consumption.I am so glad that we made the decision to purchase another Mophorn simply because - we now have plenty of pure water available for our consumption, which is what we wanted! We also have been using distilled water for our 20gal aquarium, and the water seems to maintain its clarity quite a bit longer limiting how often we have to do water changes. Awesome!Hopefully one day we will be able to afford an home in-line distiller which would provide distilled water throughout our home. But until then... we will be using these Mophorn/s.So far, these unit have been totally reliable, they are well constructed, and it appears that they will be around for some time. Thanks Mophorn
