Overall we like the water distiller. The instructions are written in clear easy to read English. The instructions are complete and thorough. The distiller works well. Having tried another distiller we are impressed how fast this one works. Distills about a gallon of water in about 60% of the time the other one took. We like this distiller. The only thing negative is the base is a little wide and the carafe to catch the water is pushed slightly too far away. We just prop up the far end of the carafe so it leans in closer at the top and it works perfectly. It is not inconvenient so we keep this and we are happy with it.

I have other items like it, but life is hectic, busy and who has time to mess around with something that you need to babysit for hours on end. I added a cheap timer, 3 hours and it’s done. Set it to 95 degrees Celsius that’s it. Done and done! Oh, my advice, Pour it all through a zero water filter afterwards, add some distilled water and glycerin to your liking, and just have fun with it. There’s so many ways to flavor, candy, wood chips, fruits the list is endless! No regrets wish I had another!

Make sure to run a couple cycles through it and discard to get out any off taste or smell from the manufacturing process of the distiller.Reading other reviews online I had set the temp (for distilling water) all the way up and found that the pressure would build until the top lifted, then it would leak all over and I would only get about half of the water I put in back out of it.I lowered the temp to the boiling point of water - 212 F and it works perfectly. No more leaks, no more loss of volume during the process.As others have said, try not to let it run dry as it will leave more deposits on the bottom to clean off. I did find that lowering the temp as above would also shut it off with a little water left in the bottom, helping immensely.Stick to the proper temps and you'll be pleased.

We use distilled water several times a day. This is the way to go for us. I just fill with water & set the timer for 3 hrs. I highly recommend this distiller.

We have been using this distiller for over a month now and it has been perfect for our humidifiers. We need almost 2 gallons a day and it fairly easy to get 3 gallons a day. You can make more if you are really diligent. It takes about 3 hours for nearly a gallon. You need to clean the boiling chamber each time using vinegar to keep it running well. It was a must for us because using hard water in the our humidifiers plugged up our 4 ?furnace filter in two months tripping the sensors and turning off the heat in the middle of winter. It took technicians 4 different trips to figure it out. The filter looked really clean but was caked with calcium and stuff. Not to mention humidifiers are needed for dry skin and eyes. I highly it recommend it and will pay for itself in a couple months depending on your needs.

After 60 days with this, I use a little charcoal in the water when distilling it and it turns out great. Add a little minerals to it and perfect water everytime. Use it every day and hope it lasts. Perfect for Florida water.

We are pleased we bought this distiller. It’s easy to use and clean and we‘ll soon be in the return on investment?as compared to how much we spent on store bought distilled water. We decided to distill our own water when there were times when we couldn’t buy distilled water (is distilled water the new toilet paper?! ) We haven‘t used it for anything but water so can’t comment on other uses. We recommend this unit to anyone looking for a single family-size distiller.
