Well made mill vise for the price. Fit and finish is good some minor de- burring and clean up. required

Nice heavy vise for machining. I don't do super precise work, so the flatness/squareness out of the box works for me.

unbelievably heavy, lol and accurate, very impressed with the grinding, the action is smoother that I thought, but I think i can make it better. great price and actually bigger than what I need, but for the difference In price, you might as well get the 6 inch.

I bought this vise to help set up a Mini milling machine project I'm working on. I picked this one basically due to its size and the price mainly because if I didn't like the quality I really wasn't out much. Turns out its very nice and well packaged and works well.

It will do the job, But first there's a lot of work to be done. You must tear it all apart, every bit and scrub the hell out of it to get the cosmoline packing grease off of it. After a few hours of that break out the files and take all of the sharp edges off. And after a few more hours of that you need to oil and grease the lead screw and thrust bearings, then after that you get to start lapping the swivel base to true up the mating surfaces before you can think of bolting to your mill table. My time is money, and I'm invested deep before I can even use it. Yes after all of that it's a damn good mill vise.

Don't let the price fool you. This is a very well made, smooth operating machinist vice. It has an easy to read protractor on it's swivel base. It's an ideal vise for a bench top milling machine, such as the Wen 33013 milling machine I own. The handle is a breaker bar design and removes to keep it out of the way when working. The vise is very similar to the Kurt vises I use at work, only smaller, which suits my needs in my own shop.

All I wanted for holding power and what I expected from a drill press vise. I thought it would fit the standard groves on a drill press . It doesn't fit the groves on my delta drill press

The handle was a bit over painted, just filed off the excess paint, otherwise a bargain for a really good vise.

For the money it can't be beat!
