I needed this for a larger cable winch. It works great!

Product does what it supposed to do.

Works PERFECTLY for repairing my wire winch cable with 1/4" cable. It is a heavy duty tool, but EASILY crimps 1/4" wire cable aluminum sleeves. So very thrilled to have this tool on hand to help quickly repair any random winch cable snaps.

This is a rugged and well performing tool. However, on receipt mine was almost impossible to actuate. No amount of oil would free it up. Turns out the tension was set too tight at the factory. I removed the small keeper bolt on the head and removed the thin plate that holds the tension bolts in place. The tension bolts were loosened a bit and the plate re-installed.Works great now. This is a good value.

I own a Arctic cat 4 wheel side by side with a 3/8 in cable wench, have had to repair the hook end a number of times with this tool and love it. before i owned it I had to go to the nearest hardware store and borrow and or rent the tools to repair it. I would totally recommend this tool.
