Well made, capable of cutting 5 to 7 oz leather easily. Does require some adjustments depending on your die height. Adjustments are easy to no worries.
I love this cutting machine!! It’s heavy (which makes it difficult to move) but it stays in place while punching and just makes it all-around stable. I have 30 or so leather punches and this machine makes it so easy to cut out the shapes. The arm is smooth and easy to grip. It doesn’t take a lot of pressure to cut either. The size of the cutting area is perfect for what I need right now. I may need a larger one in the future, but for now it’s PERFECT! Bravo!
Assembly was challenging, but accomplished. This thing is heavy. Be prepared. Definitely a workhorse. After set up, we cut about 8 different items and they cut clean. I'm hooked. Will be ordering in die sets. It just works. I keep a magnetic level on mine. Highly recommend. We found many dies on Etsy.
I use this product as a clicker press for my leathersmith shop. Specifically as a clicker press for clicker dies, usually wallets. Gets the job done for a fraction of the price you'd pay for a press from Weaver or Tandy. Also fits nicely on a workbench.
Sturdy unit, would benefit from more detailed operating instructions.
Adjusting nuts were hard to turn but worked well once loosened. It was a challenge to get the pressing surface level. Very sturdy unit, good pressure for cuts. Would recommend better instructions or user manual.
Works really well. It is heavy duty, so you'll need a surface that can hold the weight of the machine. I used to cut all of my leather by hand, and this machine has cut production time down by hours at a time. Well worth the money.
Arrived in a cardboard container that was in rough shape. Shipping had apparently loosened some of the nuts. First cuttings indicated the machine was not level. The machine could use instructions on how to do this. After several tries it was level. Once that is accomplished the machine cuts very easily. Clean precise cuts. It should provide many years of enjoyable leather cutting projects
