If you are thinking in buying a Variac tranformer from Vevor, this the place to buy your electronic needs. Toby owns two Variac Tranformers both run very well for my applications. Highly Recommended. This is a lot of instrument for the price. Very useful for anyone with old electronic devices, or someone who dabbles with vintage electronics. Mine worked well right out of the box. Since it was made in China where 110v is standard, the knob needs to be recalibrated using the US 120v standard. Once adjusted, the output was fairly close to the dial indicator. Really easy to do. It's fairly heavy, and seems rugged enough. Time will tell if it holds up well, but it's off to a good start.

For my limited use, this is a good variac. I prefer to by genuine American brands, but$530 is way too much , all I do is lower voltage to Guitar amp to adjust tone.I was surprised at how heavy it is.

Pretty well though the knob is not so accurate.

The dial is inaccurate, but you should always be using an independent voltage meter anyway.

Smooth operation, accurate meter and has little rubber feet.
