Good for up to a 3/4 inch hole. Could have a better chuck. . It's not for heavy duty drilling.
Verygood for light duty work.

Great value if you're up for a little fine tuning
I regard a Chinese tool like this as a kit. It has all the required parts and even comes assembled, but you have to take care of final fit and finish yourself and occasionally upgrade some of the parts. This tool came very near ready-to-use after some small assembly steps like installing the quill handles and the chuck. One of the gib adjusting screws interferes with the handles, so you'll need to replace that one with an M5 x 14 or 16 mm set screw. You could probably leave it out for a while and it would work just fine. The design is remarkably similar to the DeWalt that sells for more than four times the price. The drill motor slides in dovetail ways in the base. Both dovetails are aluminum, although the base slides are covered with galvanized steel cover plates, I suppose to minimize galling. The quill lever is reversable. It comes on the right side as pictured but can be swapped to the right side by removing an M6 socket-head cap screw. On mine, if that screw is tightened up, it causes the handle to bind. I'll work out some way to fix that, maybe by loctite-ing the screw in its "not-quite-all-the-way-in" position with blue Loctite or coming up with a spacer of the right description.I bought this to chain-drill several feet of 2"-thick cast iron my saw isn't big enough to handle. It works just fine for that job and I'm sure I'll be glad to have the option from time-to-time, but it's not going to be a tool I use frequently. If you use one frequently, you might want to invest in a name-brand model, but this one did the job for me and was the right price range, especially given its very occasional use.The motor is single speed (500 RPM I believe) which is fine for 1/4" holes in cast iron, which is what I've used it for. I also bought a $15 motor speed controller I thought I would wire into the drill motor circuit if I needed it. Those cheap controllers cut the torque along with the RPM, so I'm not sure that approach would work with annular cutters. Something to think

Great tool for the money!
The magnet has plenty of power and it is turning the perfect speed for my carbide cutter. We are cutting 1 inch holes in steel posts for bolts. This is a great tool for the money

Excellent mag drill for the money!
This mag drill is one heckuva machine... especially for the money! It is heavy, but the electromagnet holds very well. I bought this to drill thru frame rails to install an old plow on an old truck. It worked great! My only negative thought is that it runs a little on the fast side for drilling steel, but it works great with adequate drilling/cutting oil and a little patience when drilling with larger bits. All in all a great addition to my shop! RB

Very good budget priced tool.
I used this to drill forty-eight 9/16" holes in the flanges of W6-25 beams. It performed flawlessly. Precision set-up can be a bit fiddly but over-all I would recommend to anyone who is working on a tight budget.

Very good buy
Used this drill for the first time this week. Had to relocate a pintle hitch on log truck. This drill worked flawless and just as good as name brand drills. I drilled through 1” pintle plate without any trouble. I will be using it often so I hope it holds up but as of right now, very satisfied with it.

So far seems great.
Everything is as it should be and a trial use showed it worked quite well. This really eases up some drilling operations.
