After spending hours and hours reading water distiller reviews, I bought this one. I am happy so far. I have used it once to make a 8L of distilled water running the machine back to back twice plus the initial cleaning cycle.I turned off machine before the water boiled away totally to prevent the build up getting stuck on. I used the directions. It came with a small jar of citric acid to clean the build up but it was not enough for me to use it this time. I also bought a big bag of citric acid separately.For initial set-up out of the box, you do have to fasten strips and screws around the glass pot and need a screwdriver to do this.Mid-way though the distilling process, I dumped out the water into another container then into the glass bottles I was using for storage (it is not hot) to prevent the receiving pot getting too heavy.It was not too loud.I noticed the water had a slight odor to it. Since I bought the distiller to make CPAP machine water, it did not bother me and I did not notice it when using it.The main drawback is the machine is a lot bigger than it looked in the picture, so I need two areas in my storage cabinet for the red base and then the top part and pot.I will update my review if my machine stops working or I notice anything major.

This distiller has worked great so far but a few issues everyone should know about:1) there is no shutoff timer so the burner will burn the bottom if you don’t check on it.2) there is a dimension fit issue between the drip nozzle and the container attachment that requires you to lift one side of the container when in operation.3) there will be scaling on the inside from the hard water after each time….get a water tester for $15 and check each time…my tap water was testing at 365 ppm and even after running the distiller with the scaling it was never above 4 ppm. I never used the charcoal sachettes but is your preference. I don’t even use the cleaner that is sent either the unit. Best thing is it run it for 10 minutes at 100 degrees using vinegar and water mixture and it will clean it like new without scrubbing.

Works as specified. But I would like more information about what the distiller can distill besides water. There was a grill included for wine distilling but no other information.

I've had it for a minute now and used it about 6 times now and have not had a problem with it. Works great.

I use a gallon of distilled water for my CPAP every 2 weeks. Not only does this save me money but is convenient and well worth the price. Highly recommended.

It was a bit of a pain putting the carafe together, but otherwise, easy to install and started working fairly quickly

Easy to use, and we will make our money back on this by six months. 3 people in the house use distilled water and we were struggling to keep stocked with all the shortages. Glad we got this.

We need instructions! There was no booklet. You say you can do other things but no how to do it instructions.
