One of the most frequent causes of misapplied transfers is cold spots in the platen. Cold spots occur when there is not enough heating element used in the manufacturing of the platen, or if there is a short or disconnect in the heating element within the platen. Q: What is a transfer made up of? A: A transfer is made up of a carrier paper and inks. When heated to a certain temperature and pressed with a significant amount of pressure for a certain amount of time, the transfer inks are passed over to the imprintable material. The dial is easy to use and set time and temperature. It heats up fairly quickly and I follow the manufacturer instructions for my tumblers and they turn out great!
Though I have not used it yet, I am excited. I love the idea of making signature mugs. The box arrived with various contents helpful for making logo's and I like that it is used for different sizes. The box is pretty heavy though.
