My wife purchased this electric fireplace through her Amazon account, so my review will not show up as a "verified purchase." However, we did indeed purchase this fireplace on Amazon.This 36 inch electric fireplace looks really nice, and it works very well. I hung this fireplace on our bedroom wall with the outside-mount option. The fireplace takes about 30 minutes to install, and the only assembly required is attaching the two hanging brackets and installing the glass front panel. The measurements for the 4 eyehook hanger hole distances are in the instruction manual, which is convenient. However, I made a template out of one of the straight cardboard carton flaps. Just attach the hanging brackets to the fireplace, and then lay the fireplace on the cardboard strip and mark and punch-out the 4 hanging holes on the cardboard. Now level the cardboard on the wall, and Transfer those 4 holes to the wall where the fireplace is going to be hung. This method saves a lot of time and headaches. I also used heavy duty drywall anchors and screws, as the anchors and screws provided with the fireplace looked rather flimsy. The fireplace weighs just under 39 lbs (for the 36 inch model), so finding the wall studs shouldn't be necessary in most cases if good drywall anchors are used.After hanging the fireplace, there is a white opaque "carbon strip" that needs to be installed over the carbon bed LEDs, and then the crystals and "wood" branches go over the white carbon strip. Once those 3 things are in place, attach the glass front panel, and the fireplace is installed. While the front glass panel hangs firmly in 4 vertical slots, there are also 2 retaining screws that go in the outside ends of the upper left and right heater intake vents in order to keep the glass panel from accidentally falling off.Overall, we are really enjoying the ambience that this fireplace adds to our bedroom.
