Needs 1 slight improvement
Build quality is spot on! Heavy duty without being overly heavy to move. Only 1 thing I think would improve this ramp, Make it longer so that the angle of departure isn't so fast. Bought this for my mom to use with her mobility scooter works great except I had to make a 12" wide piece to go between the door and the ramp so that her scooter didn't bottom out on threshold (its a low threshold) and get stuck.

These are strong and durable. They work great for extending a handicap ramp down to a hard surface (Concrete or Asphalt). That is what we use them for. Excellent Product.

Product odor is awful!
I think this ramp will work really well for moving my husband out onto our deck through the sliding glass doorway but the recycled rubber stinks horribly. We are hoping that with time and weather exposure the smell will dissipate. The packing material had to be left outside overnight (in the rain) because even the little instruction manual stunk up the whole house!

These low profile ramps are excellent for older folks and anyone really. This is by the garage door where it meets the house. Sometimes we use a dolly but it just makes entering smoother and safer even if you are carrying something from the car. The beveled edges were an excellent idea.

Heavy Duty--great value for the money. Can be used with motorized wheelchairs and scooters. Weight capacity is excellent. Heavy to move around but will stay where you put it. Should be used outside as it does has a rubber smell. Will definitely purchase again if needed.

More attractive than the wooden ramp we had
When we bought our home the previous owner built a wood ramp for the sliding door area. It was long, visitors tripped, rough on your feet and hard to keep clean. I came across this and thought I would give it a try and so glad I did. It's not too long like the wood one, yet long enough to not have a sudden drop. The sides are arched which is great so you don't have to step if you are going down at an angle. Easy to clean, I just hose it off when I am cleaning my patio down. Very heavy so it does not move once you have it in place. I had to have some help setting it in place. Like what some reviewers have mentioned, it does have a heavy rubber smell but that has faded over time.

Really great value, so wonderful having the lift to meet the door threshold without having to ouch…….I mean, step. Others have mentioned strong odor, that—it has. Be prepared to off-gas in the sun, tip on the edge. If that doesn’t do it for odor, try a skim coat of a surplus latex paint. The back has cut outs. Just paint the inside squares of those indentions, only—so you don’t mess with the good grip. It’s so heavy, it won’t slip, everyone loves the stability.
