I have 2 Whirley Bird attic exhaust currently installed on my house with a sloped metal roof. Will these fans use the same penetrations mounting as the whirley bird cage attic exhaust

In fact, the installation method of our exhaust fan is very simple. Open a round hole with a diameter of 310mm on the roof, fix the base of the exhaust fan on the round hole with screws and waterproof glue, and then fix the exhaust fan to the base with screws.

Incomplete User's Manual

I have 2400 sqft attic and chose to install 3 of these fans. The fact that the bottom flange that attaches to the roof is separate from the body of the fan made for a much simpler installation including replacing the shingles. The attachment of the fan body to the bottom flange was also simple. We have just been through several days of 80-degree F pulse weather had the fans have been working well. The only issue I have had is that the manual does not address the use of the electrical connection or the functioning of the remote control. When using only the solar to run the fan it is straight forward. However, it is a little confusing when you have the fan connected to electrical power to understand how the controller interfaces with both the solar and the electrical power.

It is so quiet, you won't notice it is there!

I got a recommendation about this product by my contractor. I ordered it and received it within two days. The contractor installed it the following day and it is amazing. It takes all the warm temp away from my house :) You can't tell the fan is working, it is quiet and good. Flies don't get in, since there's a screen. I'm happy :)

Working well to cool my attic

Was normal install. Had to add outlets for the adapters. Would like to see the lip on the base plate about 1/2 inch taller so the fan is easier to install on the base plate. Are quite, can hear them from the ground only when it is really calm. Not sure why you are not supposed to use the remote if the thermostat is hooked up.

Helps Keep Attics Cool

We live in a pretty big house in a state that can get pretty hot during the spring and summer months. Our attic is pretty well insulated from the cold, but when the warmer months come around, it is extremely hot to be in. So when I saw this pop up in my feed, I decided to see if it would help extract some of the heat that gets trapped during those summer months. The attic fan is easy to install. Simply attach it to your roof and run the power cord to an outlet inside your house and you are ready to go. The fan itself can also be powered by using solar energy which was a huge selling point for me since going green seems to be the thing these days. Another good feature about the ceiling fan is that it will stop automatically once it reaches a certain degree as it has an internal temperature gauge. The fan itself can also be controlled using the included remote. Love it.

Quiet, easy to install, solar powered, reduces damaging heat and humidity in my attic

If you have an attic and go upstairs to a second floor and the heat is unbearable you need this. 1. It will move and circulate the hot air out of your attic. Especially if you don't have a vented ridge cap this is a great solution 2. It's quiet and solar powered, so if there is no power in your attic that's another plus. It's reduced the heat in our attic yet alone our 2nd floor. 3. There is power adapter to let operate around the clock meaning when the sun goes down. Hybrid option.

Good for cooler climates

The product comes with all you need, but it is not strong enough for a whole garage or likely large attic. Need two. For my situation where the garage is in full sync, it was not enough. In colder climates likely work well.
