I am a CNC prototyping machinist who has tapped more than 60,000 holes. When it came time for a new set to use at home, I studied sets every night for a week. I wanted to buy a set of the type taps used in CNC machines but discovered none to be available with the correct tap geometry. The $800 sets were close but I couldn't justify spending that much and not getting exactly what I wanted so I began reviewing less expensive sets. I reviewed them all. This set is by far the best value. I've only had it for a week but I have already used it 50+ times with all good results. I am replacing my old $300 set because it rusted.

I was generous in giving this one star. The package looks pretty and if I was taping or threading plastic or wood it would be fine but when I tried to tap a 3/8" hole in 1/4 inch thick mid steel it could not do it. In trying to tap the hole even with tap magic the tap was winding up as if it was ready to break.I had to turn to a 40 year old cheap tap I had saved to cut the threads.Save your money and do not buy this poor quality product from a supplier who will not respond, spend your bucks on better quality.The Company, OrangeA, has contacted me several times since my review was posted . . . so they do closely monitor the customer feedback.This is a good sign.I am revising my rating as we work toward a successful resolution.Good News. I have received a partial, but fair, refund and so I have updated my review. The company is responsive.Keep an eye here as I will advise other customers. . . . . Successful resolution, see above.

Before buying, I compared many reviews and prices, finally chose Orangea.And now I'm satisfied with my choice.

I have been using the tap and die set for a long time,it stll works well,an excellant value!I will buy again.Thank you guys.

Durable & handy

Good quality at affordable price

Seem like good tools. The case is solid. But everything falls out every time I open the case. If not for that... I would have given them 5 stars. The first time I opened the case I wound up chasing dies all over the floor. Oh my aching back!
