Pool pump
I went to local pool shop to get some parts. The shop guy said it was too strong for my sand filter. I was in the process of returning the pump for a smaller one, but decided to just buy a larger sand filter. It works great.

This pump gave my pool twice the suction and power it had. Great product for the price .

Rotating exit port
The instructions state that rotating the exit port is done by removing the input strainer, then remove 8 "bolts" and turn the port. Ya, no, the 'bolts' are actually screws and have nothing whatsoever to do with turning the port. Remove the strainer as it says, then remove the end cap on the other side. unfasten the 4 bolts there ( do not pull them out ) turn the exit port and re-tighten the 4 bolts, replace the cap and strainer. Other than spending 30 minutes fussin with the exit port this is a good pump, I bought 2.
