I bought this for my mother-in-law living in Vermont. She laid this out and plugged it in ahead of snowstorm ‘Ember’. The next day, well, you can see how successful this was. The timer allows for 24 hours of continuous use, meaning she can plug it in before going to sleep and know that the overnight snow fall won’t accumulate in that area. We’ll need to buy another to cover more of the patio. The down side is that these mats don’t appear to ‘daisy chain’. That means, each mat has to have an outlet to plug into. That can be a problem.

I was worried about ice and snow building up by my door as my deck is flush to the door. Got the first snow today and the mat worked great. A little expensive for me but it was totally worth it! I bought a hub smart plug and connected the mat to it. I can control when I want it on or off by my phone.

Wow this mat is amazing! Ever since I bought it we haven't had any snow! I wish it would work like that for the whole winter! I'm near Chicago so I guess that's wishful thinking but I can hope!

Easy to put together. Heavy duty cord was able to connect to an outlet without another cord. The pad warmed up quick and kept the snow melted.

Several outlets

Looks well made, heavy material. As far as performance, when I ordered it we already had 10" of snow, over a week of sub-20 o temperatures. When it got here, fast delivery thank you, the temperatures were between 45 o and 60 o. Rained for 3 days melting all the snow and most of the ice. So needless to say I didn't get a chance to try it. However this is New Hampshire, December, so I will get plenty of time to use it. I have no reason to think it won't work as it should. If it does not preform as it should I will update this review.

Why did I not buy these sooner. They are amazing. worked like a charm and in fact I'm back now buying more for my other doors.

Not sure too much snow accumulates on ours. However every one enjoys standing on the warm mat while waiting to get in or out of the hottub. We don't use the included timer. We just plug it in before heading outside, & unplug it when we go in. Nice addition to cold winter nights in PNW.

We love the melting mat!! We are both over 65 an it was wonderful..

This snow melting mat is well made, with high quality waterproof connections. Although it comes with a timer, I used a smart plug to automate it to turn on and off depending on the weather forecast. I’m very happy with this.
