The original charger (has fins) was much more, but this one worked and saved me money! I wish they would include a list of golf carts that this fits.

The old style big heavy charger went bad and I bought this one I would have replaced it years ago if I would have known how much better they are now...

My old charger, 18 years old, finally died. The Bestequip charger does an excellent job. Because I hadn't charged the batteries for several months I was nervous about the batteries condition but the charging was no problem. I had to let the batteries fully charge and fully deplete four times before the charger would reduce charging to a trickle charge. Not a surprise since the batteries were depleted and needed to be cycled. I can not speak to longevity since this is a new purchase but I am pleased with the performance for the price.
