I had one of these before in my old house but this one is much beefier and much more heavy duty. Mounting was easy and it works nicely (the light showing power is not obnoxiously bright but still easy enough to see). The motion is smooth as well.Jut a note on install. When you mount the bracket, the reel will slide on but only from one side and then lock in place. Make sure you prepare for this. I rushed a bit and didn't realize this until I mounter the bracket too close to the garage door rail and I could not slide the reel on without loosening it. Please plan ahead. Once it was on it was a bit tough to tighten the bolts as the reel is rather thick and interferes with screwdrivers. This was my fault but make sur eyou plan ahead.

This just what I needed. I read multiple reviews for different products and compared. This one is longer and more heavy duty. Very satisfied!

I have been using this to power my dehumidifier in the basement and it’s been wonderful. I really liked that it has three sockets you can use. It is really well-built as well. I would recommend it.

I seem to be hunting around the house for an extension cord all the time. Whether it's to work with a wired weed whacker or leaf blower around the yard or to use a circular saw or drill while out on the deck, extension cords are an everyday necessity. The Vevor Retractable Extension Cord Reel is a practical and useful product to have around the house or at a business.The 50 foot extension cord is housed in a heavy-duty black and orange reel and arrived well-packed. Accompanying the reel is an instruction sheet with warranty information plus a heavy-duty mounting bracket and mounting screws to attach the reel to a wall. The extension cord is a heavy-duty 14/3 AWG orange cord with a three-prong male plug at one end and three female three-prong lighted plugs at the other end. The male plug end is permanently attached to the reel and is about four feet in length. The female end of the cord has a black stopper attached to it about one foot from the three plugs. That is the end that you pull to extend the cord. There is a clicking sound as the cord is pulled out and it stays put once you stop pulling. To retract the cord back into the reel, just pull on it slightly and it will retract up to the black stopper. The five feet of visible cord counts towards the overall 50' lengthThe extension cord itself is quite flexible and well-made and it is useful to see the glowing orange LED so you know you have power to the plugs. The reel with extension cord is quite heavy and sturdy. The Vevor retractable extension cord reel comes with a one-year warranty and is built to last. So. Ever dread dragging out an extension cord because it's a pain to coil it back up? Yeah. That's me. This item is 50 ft and I can plug 3 things into it at once. Just don't exceed safety rules. I have it mounted in My garage and it reaches everywhere. When I'm done it just retracts. No fuss. No hassle. And it doesn't take up the space my 50 ft regular cord does. Plugs into a normal 110 outlet. Mine is on a gfi outlet and no problems at all. So far, I think it's definitely worth the price.

Good extension cord. If you really need the ability to easily retract the cord without winding it yourself, then it's worth it. Will work mounted, but it doesn't have to be. I prefer keeping it portable.

This is much bigger and sturdier in a good way than I expected. I couldn’t be more pleased and my husband was thrilled!

I had been looking for retractable extension reel for awhile now. Ordered this one and I was amazed at the quality of the product. The reel itself is made of solid plastic and the bracket solid metal. It comes with the bracket and the screws to install on the wall. Extension cord is also very solid and works very well when retracting. As a DYI-er I'm looking forward to installing this in my garage and use it. Also love the fact that the extension cord has three plugs AND they light up when powered. A must for any home
