This was exactly what I was looking for. Once I secured a strong hammer drill for the concrete holes required, the installation was easy. It now looks nice and works well.

Please excuse the plastic stair rail in the picture, The metal bar is perfect, just be sure to have a cement drill bit if you are installing the rail yourself. In the future I plan to use this rail when I get permanent stairs installed.

Listen, with the right tools & a can-do attitude, you really can do way more than you think! I come from a construction upbringing, so I grew up around tools, but you can't use what you don't have.1. Buy a decent Hammer Drill. Your household drill will not work for this. I ordered this B&D from Amazon & thanks to next day delivery I didn't have a long delay!2. Buy a decent drill bit (or 2) made for concrete. I went to a big box hardware store to buy these and it was worth the extra time & small expense. *A drill bit IS included w/this product, but it was worn down before I even got 1/2" into the concrete and that was with a lot of manual force behind the drill. I probably wasted at least 2 hours trying to use the provided drill bit, but after buying a true concrete bit, I was done drilling in less than 30 minutes!3. Have a shop vac nearby to vacuum up the concrete dust.4. Post up an umbrella, keep ice water close by and get drilling! (Drilling into concrete in the hot Texas sun in July was no picnic, but I was sure proud of myself when I was done, and I only had a wee little headache!)This product is incredibly sturdy. The nylon sleeve that secures around the handrail is easy to install and definitely protects delicate hands from sun-scorched metal. This has a relatively small profile so for a backyard pool it was exactly what I wanted. Not so large to get in the way of the dogs running laps around the pool, but strong enough to support weight when my Aunt would get in and out of the pool.And it did just that! I bought this the week of my family cruise & my 75 year old Aunt was coming to stay w/our dogs, but I wanted her to feel comfortable getting in and out of the pool and I didn't want to worry while we were away.This was literally the answer to my prayers, she was so happy & used the pool 3 times that week! Thank you for a reasonably priced solution!

very happy with the handle. perfect size. makes it very easy to get in and out of the pool. my wife was using a stool and i felt that was not safe.

Received exactly what was ordered in a timely manner. It was easy to install without difficulty. I’m very pleased with the handrail.

Sure is a nice, sturdy grab bar. We really needed this to enter and exit our pool and this is a good one. Took about an hour or so to install (drilling was the tough part) comes with metal anchors and a nifty blue velcro cover to protect your hands during the hot, hot weather. Good value and I highly recommend this product.
