The Compaction Tamper arrived late. Shipping showed it left Ca. traveled to Tx. then back to Ca. finally arrived in Ar. after 10 days. Box was destroyed. Missing manual and handles. Support emailed Manual, and forwarded credit for handles. which I was able to create from an old lawn mower. Checked engine, works as required. Only issue is the manual did not say how much oil to fill tamper with. I am satisfied with product.

No problems assembling - started right up. You will need a funnel for the engine oil. First project was 4'x100' paver walkway. One of the handle's nuts came off after about 2 hours use - noticed and re-tightened++ no further problems with that. On second day of use had some issues with the throttle cable/carb sticking and not advancing to high idle. This is a very dusty/dirty work environment and some of this I guess should be expected. We had the unit running 4-5 different days on this project over 3 weeks and 2 tanks of gas - has consistently started right up and done a good job compacting our minus gravel layers. Happy with the purchase.

I purchased this to compact base layers for a 500 sq ft. paver patio. This machine worked great. Started easily every time. My project was spread out over several days so it saved me a lot of money over a rental. I would definitely recommend. It is not the heaviest compactor so I did 1 inch lifts instead of 2 inches which is typically recommended.

Easy to assemble. Fill with gas and follow instructions. The first pull starts! Advertising promotion work according to size and power.

Awesome compactor used it for first time doing asphalt pothole patching did 3 tons of 1/2 in minus worked great was efficient on gas went through to tank fulls of gas, was very easy to start throughout the day,cheaper than renting one

Several quality issues: heat shield bolts rattled loose immediately; could not keep them tight enough, removed heat shield. Manual said to use 30w oil normally, but to use 10w/30 oil only below 15F, but tag on engine said to fill with 10w30 weight oil. I used 15w-40 oil, works fine. Carb was set to deliver approximately 3000 rpm, and I had to adjust a cable and screw fitting to get 3500 rpm out of motor, which was necessary to get machine hopping and moving. Carb jet was too loose, reset and engine smoothed out. Carb was full of oil from soaked air cleaner, I disassembled entire air intake system to clean out oil. After all that - 2 hours work - machine did exactly what I bought it to do - beat the heck out of and smooth out the gravel base of my driveway (adc stone with fines.)
