Replaced a failed original ram on an engine hoist that I own. It was a direct replacement that did not require any modifications to work. Works great, I opted for the double pump model, it applies pressure to the ram on both the up and down stroke of the handle, way more efficient than the single pump ram that it replaced. I use my engine hoist at least twice a month, so this unit will get a work out. I will update if anything changes in the operation of the unit.

I installed this on my left right before hurricane then proceeded to leave it out in the weather for several months afterwards after using it for the first time it works like a champ I’m not sure if it’s going to hold up well in the long run but it did it’s job

I dont know if this is a feature, or just how it operates but when its under a load it only goes in single ram pump mode. before buying i had read other reviewers being upset that it only works in single ram mode, and when i used it to lift a boat outdrive (150 lbs) with my engine hoist, it did seem to only work in single ram mode when under a load. this is fine for me since the speed only matters to me to take up the slack in the ram until it starts lifting. time will tell if it holds up
