We use this coupled with an overhead hoist to lift 4x8 sheets of steel onto our plasma table.The item is a bit heavy and the lever requires two hands to engage the magnet. Maybe it's just stiff because it's new.Easily lifts 500 lb sheets with no slippage. I prefer the magnet over an edge type clamp because I can grab the center of the panel, lift it up a couple of feet then pivot the sheet to the horizontal position to lay on the table.A very versitle tool at a reasonable price.

Just pick up a couple!! I can't believe how strong these magnets are!!!

I received it one month days ago,now I start to use it,there no problem to lift my small steel.

Just received the magnet seem to work just like it is supposed to,that's all a person can ask for.

This is a great magnet and MUCH cheaper than the ones we have been purchasing. We did put some more springs in the handle to make it where it doesn't release so easily. We will buy this one again when we need more.

does what it is supposed to on plate but is only fair for lifting pipe.

this is a heavy item and the box was really beat up and I was missing the screw for the handle. the item was ok other than that.
