I was a bit skeptical about this auger considering that it's made of nylon. I'm used to the old school 2-stroke augers with all-metal construction. however, I was pleasantly surprised. This auger is much lighter and easier to mount onto the back of my snowmobile. The blades are just as sharp as anything I've ever used and cut through the ice cleanly and quickly. One benefit of the nylon is that it doesn't seem to build up ice as much as my metal augers. With a lightweight drill, I can drill a more holes, faster and I get less tired overall. Time will tell how long it holds up, but the weight savings is huge. Especially now that I'm a bit older and have more gear than when I was young.

This ice auger is surprisingly lightweight, and it is effective at cutting through the ice. I appreciate that it only weighs about 6 pounds. It certainly helps when you already have lots of gear to carry. The cutting blade is sharp and it definitely gets the job done using my 1/2” drive cordless drill. I wouldn’t describe it as “like a hot knife through butter,” but it is a quick and smooth process. I got the 8” diameter model and the drill has plenty of power to drive the mechanism. The blades above the cutting blade are made of nylon, so they are lightweight, but they do a good job of clearing the cut ice. The extension rod installs quickly and easily, and it gives me more length than I will ever need, about 4 feet. I have to say they put a lot of thought into the design and it is a very efficient tool.

The 8 inch ice auger from Vevor is been a fantastic way to drill holes for my ice fishing endeavors. This auger drills holes quickly and efficiently and has no problem going through solid ice. I like how light weight it is and how it clears all the cut and shaved ice up out of the hole. My battery drill attached to it quickly easily to make drilling holes a quick and fun adventure. It also came with replacement blades. I would highly recommend the Vevor Ice drill to anybody looking for a quick and easy way to help their ice fishing adventures .

Well made the auger works well and is great. It's good quality and does the job very well. Just a good product that's most useful when needed. :)

No ice on the lakes safe enough to cross yet, but this looks like it will auger a small hole for fishing. I wouldn't trust it past 6-8\", as you are only using a hand held drill to power it or your hands.

This is a well made, solid and lightweight fishing auger. I really like the protective top plate in that it will help prevent the auger from falling into the ice, as well as if you should slip and put a hand down while it is spinning. This arrived in great condition because it was well packaged. Seeing that it also came with a second blade gives me great confidence that I will be able to use this for a long time without added costs popping up. I doubt I will ever need the extension rod, but that's also a great addition to make sure you're prepared for anything.

We don't have any ice yet so I haven't tested it yet. But, right out of the box, it looks just as good as the kdrill. It's surprisingly light weight. The fit and finish is great. The cutting blades feel really sharp. I can't wait for the lakes freeze. Will update if the auger doesn't perform well.

Connects right onto any of my 1/2 inch cordless drills. Looks to be really well made and blades come sharp!

Christmas gift for son. Waiting for the lake to freeze. Wanted an auger to use with a drill for easier fishing access. Quality of what arrived was great. He loved it.
