All easy to do

It does not hold 50# of feed as advertised more like 35# to 40#. But it's a well-built feeder. So far I'm very pleased with it.

This is well built and easy to use. I like it and it works great. I just wish I could get 50 pounds of feed into it. I wanted a feeder I could pour a full 50 lbs bag of layer feed into but filling it two times, I can only squeeze about 42 lbs into the feeder. I fill it to the top to the point that the feed I put in rolls off the sides and onto the coup floor and I always have about 8 lbs left in the bag to store for another day. But it does the job very well and holds up well. The chickens can't roost on top of it and they can easily feed at it. If you don't mind holding part of the bag for a day or two, it is a good deal.

It doesn't hold a whole 50 lb bag of layer crumbles.

Works great, edges are sharp the top is loose fitting I depressed the sides some so it would be a little tighter. The food moves well through it and stays dry. So it works for me..

...It is more of a FORTY pound feeder.Using a 40 Lb bag of layer pellet, I can go from absolutely empty to a little spillage over the top.Maybe mash would get more in, but 50? I doubt it.Other than that, I have it mounted in the chicken barn so I can't comment on it's weather "tightness" or resistance to rust. So far, so good though.The birds and I like it.

I like the capacity is large, but sharp edges on inside when you pour feed in. Can you notify the manufacturer please of this danger. Possible a handle on each side of feeder.
