I went for this Steam Generator because of the other good reviews, and my thinking it was the best deal for the $140.00 I paid for the 6 kW version, after comparing it to other deals. I asked before purchasing about it being a 240ac split phase USA version, which differs from the European 220v single phase. I was happy to confirm by taking some panels off for inspection; to find all the inner wires were tight, it has a plastic cover (removed for the picture) that clearly shows where L1 & L2 electrical lines connect, with obvious grounding wire connection. I see good indicators this steam is properly wired for USA standards 240vac split phase (and I have wired up 3 houses). ... I still have to build my steam room; and intend to hook this for a steam test soon, before my steam room is finished. ... Hench my Thumbs up is holding back one star for until I do my steam testing; and update my review then. IMO: This is good deal after confirming kW version is a match to the cubic meters or cu ft you want to heat. My Two Cents :+)

You would think that for $150 you are getting something that won’t work or is really poorly constructed. This unit is not that. It does work. The controller unit is extremely ugly and given it is not waterproof, you can’t control the steam bath from within the shower. As some other have pointed out, I mounted mine inside the vanity cabinet. Others have stated the controller is only in centigrade. Mine is in Fahrenheit.The unit does not put out the volume of steam I’ve seen in a more expensive unit I had in my old house. It puts out plenty of very moist and very hot air. There is some stream but just not as much as I expected.One other thing is the temp sensor is kinda short for mounting behind the tile. You could mount it on the surface of the tile but the mounting plate is rather ugly. I put a hole in the tile and then ground out an area in the back of the tile so that the sensor would stick through the surface. The sensor is then set in the mortar along with the tile. Worked fine.All in all this is a decent unit for the money.

This product provides a "steam bath" in my enclosed shower. Great way to relax after a tiring day. And the additional benefit is that when you have steamed the tiredness out of your body. The steamer shuts off "based on your amount of time programed) and you can relax for a few minutes and then shower the perspiration off and feel wonderful.

This unit puts out steam as well as my previous Steamist $1,800 unit. The big issue was the wiring. The instructions are indecipherable. The review above showing the connections is correct: Wire one phase to terminals L and L, the other phase to terminals N and N [for 220v].The control is not as sophisticated as the Steamist:1. Instructions say to mount the control outside the steam room and place the separate temp sensor inside the room. Steamist has all in one control mounted inside the steam room so you can easily adjust time and temp.2. You cannot set the time. It runs 60 minutes unless you manually shut off first.3. As mentioned in other reviews, the temp display is Celsius not Farenheight. Cannot be changed.4. The unit does not auto flush to remove buildup in the steam container. A drain must be opened monthly manually when the unit has just turned off and is in the cooling mode.

This pic is of the correct wiring for USA 220. The diagrams are not easy to comprehend. Do not use a neutral wire. The machine is awesome now that it's wired right. Produces steam in about 4 minutes.

I just installed two weeks ago and I really liked , it produces a lot of stem in like 2 minutes so I will reposted a video next time I used....
