This unit was very easy to install and it works great. It will heat up the 8 gals. In approx. 10 mins. On the highest setting. I would recommended this unit.

Small but does the job
I have two sinks in my canning and freeze drying room and need to wash and prep. This little heater provides me with enough hot water for hand washing and doing dishes. If I want the hot water to last I do have to be pretty conservative in my use when washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes. I keep the knob cranked all the way up and it does what I need. Can't believe how good the quality is at this price.

Quickly installed under our bathroom sink.
We have a remote bathroom that is far from the main water heater. Before, the water would need to run for about 2-3 minutes before coming to temperature. Now, the water heater acts as a buffer suppling hot water almost instantly. All our walls are finished, so we couldn’t use a recirculating pump, this has been a great work around.

Very Convenient Water Heater
This is a very convenient, easy to install little water heater. You don’t need special wiring because it only uses 12 amps and will work on a standard 15 amp breaker. Meaning you can just plug it into a standard wall plug. It’s small enough to put it in a place that’s very out of the way. With 8 gallons it will cover a load of washing dishes and maybe it will cover a quick shower if you set this to keep the water really hot and then split it with the cold water during use, but if you take long showers, this isn’t going to cut it. I can however, think of several places in which this would come in handy, especially in campers or for an off grid setup.

Great compact water heater
We installed this under our kitchen sink and connected it to our R.O. faucet so we could have hot R.O. water (for ramen, tea and so on). The water heater fit under the sink perfectly and the installation was straightforward and didn’t require any special tools. We now have hot water on demand from our R.O. faucet.

Perfect size for my brew house. Quick recovery. Easy to install. I would easily recommend if you don't have a hugh demand for heated water.

Perfect For That Odd Job
Need hot water...anywhere? This is the ticket if you do. Have some power available...just plug it in...screw in a cold water source...and voila...hot water...4 gallons worth. I have not decided exactly what I am going to do with this little gem...either it is going out to my woodshop sink area...or I am going to use it for an outside shower stall. They tell you it is not designed for showers...but I'll make it work...probably just place it in a big Rubbermaid container and cut intake and outtake holes as I need them. Tap into the outgoing ballast pressure from the water pump...and hot water everywhere. It's not meant to be exposed to the elements, so just be aware that if you do...keep it sheltered. Otherwise...this is a great unit. I may spring for the 8 gallon and replace my water heater...just the two of us now...and frankly I prefer cold showers...but every now and again...only hot will do. It comes with it's own drain valve as well...so easy. This looks like a real winner...

Installed this on our RV
We wanted a better water heater on our RV and this little guy was the answer. Hookup was easy especially taking the place of our old out of date unit. Piping was also easy but did replace some of the PVC lines with PEC tubing which made for again an easier install. In total I think I spent about an hour and a half total time. Hooking up the RV at campsites makes it really easy to get is direct power for it yo run. Even though it’s only 8 gallons storage capacity it can really heat it up quick and feed from our larger water tank onboard. Overa I am very happy with the install and with the way the unit has worked for us.

Versatile and compact hot water heater
The most attractive feature is the ability to run this on a standard household 15-amp outlet. This allows me to install this in my off-grid building that uses solar power paired with a 3000-watt inverter. It is rated as using 1440 watts, and during my initial testing the 3000-watt inverter was able to run it, even with the added startup or surge power draw. I let it run for about 30 minutes and when I came back, I had hot water! It is also small enough to be neatly tucked away in a cabinet once I have time to set up permanently with the sink. Eventually I plan to use this primarily so I can install a heated outdoor shower for people to use before and after getting in the pool. It is very easy to hook up, and simple to operate. I am quite happy with its performance and the versatility with it operating on standard 120V, unlike most hot water heaters that require 220V. And so far, it has been working effectively and reliably!

Nice solution for either making hot water more instant or putting hot water where there isn't any
This compact tank water heater is pretty much perfect for installing under a counter. Running it it in parallel with what you already have is a good way to get supplemental hot water until your primary can deliver it to you. I think most people will use it for that purpose, and it works well for that. My tank is on the opposite side of the house, and on a cold day, it's a bit of a wait to get comfortably hot water. This is now solving that problem, and it was relatively easy to install. I think a lot of people who are handy could easily install this themselves, but you could also ask someone you know for assistance, or simply pay someone to do it for you. I could also see some other great uses for this. If you have a separate shop, pool house, or other spot without hot water, this could be just the ticket. This might also be a good solution for an RV or camping unit. I went with the 8 gallon unit, which is a good amount of water. That is enough to buy some time for your primary to get hot water down the line. If you are using it as a standalone, 8 gallons is enough for casual use or even a quick shower or two, especially if you are using a low flow or oxygenating shower head. Definitely happy with this and the price is more than reasonable.
