When all is said and done it appears to be alright. But let's back up....Box came very tattered and looked like it was sitting on a shelf for years. I don't remember anything saying assembly required but if you don't want your hands cut open you better have a good pair of gloves. There are very sharp edges and the whole thing needs to get screwed together before you can place it on the chimney. The instructions are a joke so don't even go there. After spending about 2 hours trying to figure out how it goes together I finally got it but of course one screw was missing (with about 20 extra that have no purpose). Looks like regular old sheet metal to me but only time will tell how it holds up.

Exactly what I was looking for! Very durable and well made chimney cap. Looks great and should last for many years. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for this item.

This chimney cap was easy to assemble and not too bad to install. Make sure measurements are correct for what you need.

I wish our chimney top part was a little more flatter so it would fit tighter to the top part of chimney bit it's on there

Because of my particular chimney, I had to do a little "engineering" to get the correct dimension for a proper fit over my double chimney. I had to buy spacers to get the angled pieces to get close enough for the screws to do their job of holding it to the flu pipe.Once assembled, the cover was fairly solid and went over the pipes easily. The screws do hold it in place and have done so without problems so far. Here in Oklahoma we get some heavy winds at times and I hope the way it's secured will hold up to that strong of a wind.....time will tell.All-in-all, not a bad little unit. Has worked well so far with keeping birds out. I feel it ws a good purchase and would recommend.

You would think the packaging for this chimney cap was done my those smartphone people out in Cupertino CA. Amazing job protecting all the pieces and ensuring no scratches or dents would occur in transit. It been on my chimney for over a month now and looks and works great. The only constructive feedback I have would be for them to include detailed assembly instructions. I would recommend this product to others. Great product at a great price.
