Excellent awning! Don’t see how a $400+ awning similar to this can work any better. Tested it on my last camping trip and it was very easy to setup. You can get it up in no time if you have an extra hand but setting it up solo is doable as well.

Havent road tested it yet but did a dry fit and extended it at home,remarkably easy to set up and install was easy except the bolts are metric...so just know that. My application is a bit different than on a car with a luggage rack and so far quality seems good. If anything gices me paise it will be the quality of the awning material, seems a little thin. Price wise, this was less expensive but feel like it performs comparably.

I installed this item as an awning on my truck bed camper because camper awnings were 4 times the money. I had to engineer the mounting to the camper but it was not that difficult. Once mounted it set up easy in minutes.

The brackets that it comes with her great if you don’t have your crossbars set up with a roof rack all the time. I did have to rig it a little to make the brackets stable but once I figured that out it is very sturdy. Just added another bar and some U bolts. It will take some getting used to on setting up with just one person but it is very doable just a little awkward at moments.

This is a good awning for the money! Have it mounted to a curt extended rooftop basket. So far I really like it. The weak spot i think will be where the poles come out of the base along the sides and meet the end the metal threaded bolt is held in with a plastic clip that may not hold up to long term use. With that said I have a few ideas to improve this DYI style so it lasts. Very happy with the purchase!

I was skeptical is this was so much cheaper than the name brand alternative. The camping trip I took after installing it rained on me, and I immediately saw the value. With out the guy lines it stood sturdy in low winds and protected my cooking station and I from the rain. Awesome little purchase to add to your vehicle if you are outdoors at all.

Not too happy right now with this awning. It worked good before it broke. The two extension ends broke, the ends are needed to complete the rigid frame. It's tough to replace the end pieces because they are glued in.

I really enjoy this awning. For the Price you can feel the quality for sure, but it was pretty much what I expected. Really easy install. Totally worth the money.

I'm pretty pleased with the purchase. I had to make my own brackets (well, I didn't have to so much as wanted to) to make it work with the FJ stock roof rack. It provides shade when out on the farm and rolls up nice and tight to the roof rack. When I break it I'll get another one.

Sturdy construction. I had to modify the mounting for my camper. Held up under moderate 10-11 mph winds and short thundershowers. Was able to put up alone. Two things—get better stakes and better guy rope tensioners. I’d definitely buy again.
