I have had my 2 months to guide my pontoon boat on to the trailer. It works very well and am glad I bought it. If you buy one do not use the 8 small wood screws , they will not hold under the lightest use. Buy some good 2” screws and it will do fine. I learned the hard way!

So far this is working OK! The metal pole that the PVC slides over should be larger and longer! Also unless you drill holes in the black PVC tube they will float up and off the trailer when backing in the water!

I bought these guides besides I had read all the negatives reviews about the hardware and it is true. The hardware and U bolts are very thin(3/16” I believe) but they’re stainless Steel so that’s a plus and I have plenty of other sturdier U bolts sitting around if I needed them. My biggest problem is that they ARE NOT galvanized but just powder coated. On the positive side, these are the beefiest guides I’ve ever had. I think the tubing is 1/8” thick and very heavy. I decided to give them a try after all because I’ve seen so many cheap galvanized tubing that equally gets corroded very quickly so I’m going to gamble with the powder coating to see how much is going to last. Also I bent some guides before just by hitting them with the boat so I’m very curious if the extra thickness is going to make a difference.

I would recommend these guide-ons to anyone. Work very well and easy to install. No issues since I have installed on Pathfinder 2200V.

Should have had larger hardware

These were perfect for a small boat trailer, well designed and attach firmly to the trailer. They have a welded angle to hold a section of 2" plastic pipe so the boat will be protected and the pip will roll when the boat makes contact. The nuts and u-bolts were metric sized, and a small wrench is included but it is not the best, although it would work if you did not have your own metric wrenches. The sharp edges are removed and the uprights are sanded smooth, which is a plus.

Missing back plates they don't even show them in the directions had to make my own or drill holes in the trailer

Easily installed and quite sturdy. Made it much easier to load our pontoon boat back on the trailer and it kept it in place. Very happy with these so far.

This has made my boat trailer backing up a lot easier.
