This is a great beehive! The best price I have seen for a new unassembled beehive with 2 Deep Brood Boxes and 2 medium honey Supers. It even has a metal covered telescoping lid and a wooded bottom. Easy to assemble. For beginners you just need one of the large deep boxes with the frames and the lid. You can add the other large deep box and frames and honey supers as the hive grows. The outside of the wooden frames can be painted.in any outdoor color you want.

These hives were very well built and assembled nicely with a great fit on the joints. It was a pleasure to put them together.

I purchased 4 of these hive kits and received them in short time. The boxes were completely mangled but to my surprise, not 1 piece was missing. The reason for a 4 out of 5 was due to some warped sides on the deep boxes(2) and some frame bottom rails(3). I was able to use a big enough hammer to construct all parts and make them usable. The foundation that is provided with these is not waxed foundation, so I had to purchase and complete that as well. All of that being said, I will be ordering more as our farm continues to grow. The kit containing the Langstroth with the exception of a queen excluder, has everything needed to make a fully functional hive. The frames fit together nicely and I used staples to hold the frames and boxes together along with glue to seal the holes around the dovetail joints. Some of the box joints were very tight and required tapping together with a plastic hammer causing some of the edges to split out slightly, but this just aided to the rigidity of the construction. After painting and assembling onto a wooden platform, I have a great looking and functional apiary for my pets.

The bee hive went together well. Cuts were precise and all parts needed were there. I was going to order several more, but they ran out of stock beforehand.

Easy assembly

Can honestly say this hive was so easy to put together. All the cuts for the joints fit perfectly together no splintering or cracking. I actually just used my hand to bang it all together. The quality of the wood was perfect no knot holes or cracks . The frames for the brood box and honey supers all fit together flawlessly. You will need a few things to fully complete this hive. Small finish nails to put the frames together. I used 1 inch wire brad nails for the frames. And 1-5/8 exterior screws to put the boxes together you'll also need a queen excluder. I would recommend painting or sealing the outside of the hive because it is made out of pine. All and all very pleased with the quality of wood used and craftsmanship the company put into making this product.

The boxes came super quick, are very easy to put together even though there is literally no instructions, just the wood and foundations in the boxes. I ordered 2 and both had significant dents in the corners of the metal roofs from being dropped, as the boxes were banged up and torn too. Not the fault of Vevor most likely, and probably a carrier issue, but still annoying and could be prevented with different packaging. Bees are going in on the 8th, but I'm confident they'll like their homes.
