So I bought this carrier knowing I was about to make the trip of a lifetime from Anchorage, Alaska to San Antonio, Texas. Wanting something waterproof was key and this carrier didn’t disappoint. I used 4 totes inside the carrier bag and fit perfectly. Everything arrived dry which made me very happy since most was tools. THIS IS THE ONLY DOWNSIDE TO THIS CARRIER. WHEN LOADED BE SURE TO MAKE EVEN WEIGHT SIDE TO SIDE. As this carrier has a center rail/support, that ultimately is the other end of the hitch. The problem we had along the way was the carrier bouncing like a seesaw, side to side up and down. We stopped and added 2 more straps from the carrier to the hitch to alleviate some of the bounce. The carrier has a piece of 2” square tubing to support the carrier but it doesn’t go to either side like a cross for instance, leaving it bounce like a seesaw. One 2” piece of square tubing with 4 holes drilled at 1/2” for the bolts to go through, keep in mind the tubing is 2” and you remove half of that for the bolts to go through. It makes it hard to tighten all 4 bolts as they almost touch each other, but these have to be tight as possible. Overall I gave it a 5 star anyway. I was very happy it made the trip.

It fits great with our 2024 RAV4 Hybrid. Bought it for going on vacation so that all the room inside the vehicle is not taken up with luggage and other stuff.

I’ve read many reviews on here about this product. I would say some people had their problems because they either overloaded it or didn’t assemble it correctly. I agree the direction are not that good but you can look at the picture and figure out how everything goes together. I’m very happy with mine and I’m super impressed with the after sale customer support. I was missing some hardware because Amazon put a hole in the box and opened up the hardware bag and some got lost. (They don’t care they just tell you to send it back and order another one. I didn’t, I contacted the mfg and they sent me out a new hardware kit within 8 days from China. They follow up when it was shipped and also when I would receive it. Job well done. I would give the mfg a 5 star for customer service.

Instructions were not easy to follow and some of the fasteners were missing. Also the parts list describes the two bolts as M10 for the diameter and they are actually M12-1.75 thread pitch. The instructions say the longer bolts are 70mm, but they are actually 80mm. Just good to know this in case you have to purchase the missing ones. Other wise seems to be a good carrier.

Received the hitch and accessories very quickly and packaging was great. No damages to any parts. The hitch came with a very heavy duty zipper bag, cargo net with hooks, tie downs, and some additional straps for the bag. Easy to assemble but the directions were small and I had to look at a picture online to figure out some steps. Took about 45 mins to bolt together. Make sure to turn the bolts out so they dont tear into your cargo. The picture shows have the nut on the inside but I put them to the outside. We took a five hour trip with the thing loaded down and I never worried about it. The metal frame is very heavy duty. You’ll need two people to get it on the car hitch. The only improvement I could think of is to have better painting on it. I already have a few places where the paint has come off and started to show some rust. Nothing some sand paper and can of rustoleum can’t fix.

I recommend buying this product, it held up very well on our 1,050 mile trip. .

I bought this to haul Christmas presents and a months worth of my clothes and my food stuffs from ATL to PGH. I did pay someone to assemble this and he just watched a you tube video and had it together in about 45 minutes. This folds up nicely and sure did the trick for hauling. I’m super glad I chose this model and I’m marking this as “highly recommend”

I was very impressed with this cargo carrier. It’s very sturdy, looks good and the folding option makes it a 10. The only thing I can say that needs to be improved is the instructions (pretty hard to follow) and the pin that is used to store the carrier in the upright position. The pin fits a little loose which allows the carrier basket to rattle when you’re traveling. It would be nice if the pin was equipped with a sleeve to hold the upright basket firmly to the drawbar. I was able to fix it myself.

We purchased this for our Christmas trip and it was exactly as described. Easy to assemble, easy to use… a game changer for storage on a road trip!
