We were looking for a quick ceiling fix in our closet when I saw someone explaining how they used ceiling tiles over popcorn ceilings on Tiktok. They had a link to some on Amazon and while looking at them I found these. Some of the reviews were less than positive, but for the cost, I felt we had nothing to lose since I have found, over the years, that most who post negative reviews about items that have to be installed are normally the ones at fault and not the product. This project only took my husband and me about two hours to completely take our closet to another level. Initially, my husband was a little skeptical because they are styrofoam and very lightweight but thought it couldn't hurt to try them. The end product is just so beautiful. Both of us are tickled pink at how it came out. I mean to have to mud, wait, sand, mud, wait and sand again with drywall just takes so long. We are both glad I found this product on Amazon. It only took a few days to come in and our project was completed the evening it arrived. I do believe it works best as a two-person job. My husband stayed pretty much up on the ladder, measured, and marked where I was to make the cuts. I made the longer cuts with a box cutter on the back of the tiles and then added the adhesive and he installed them. We used AcrylPro for our adhesive and it made the job go so quickly. If anyone asks, I would definitely recommend this product and tell would-be buyers to be leery of reviewers who probably did not do enough research to install these gorgeous tiles properly and so had a bad experience. Try it. You will be amazed at how easy they are to install and the finished look.
