This is a good heavy cord with a thick outer covering.

Bought this to run our emergency generator from a open sided shelter with a roof. The only negative is that it is very heavy. The strap that comes with it should be bigger since you'll never recoil it as tightly as it was when it was delivered. These big cables are harder to uncoil in cold weather so I'm glad we bought a longer one than we needed since in winter it won't likely stretch out fully due to the coils being cold.We had the opportunity to use it during a blackout shortly after it arrived and it worked as it should.

The cable seems heavy duty but the threaded collar took some effort to get loose. I had to pry it forward with screwdrivers to free it so it could be used. It was all the way back to the base. You can see the marks where it was stuck. I have not used it yet but will adjust my review if necessary after I actually use it.

It is exactly what my electrician told me to get.

I did a lot of comparison shopping for everything related to setting up my generator to power my home in case of a power outage. I decided on this Generator Extension Cord and I'm glad I did. We live in the desert so the sun and heat are a big concern for us. While we haven't had it out for hours in 100+ temps yet, we have had it out in high temps and everything has been fine. Works as advertised and is very strong and durable, all for a very good price. Definitely recommend.
