I love it and like I said this is Heavy Duty. The price is great, you can't find it cheap anywhere else. This will do the tough job too. You have to have a tough working bench for this guy. you should get this first if you don't have any vise. this is good for your home plumbing or anything like sanding. Have fun with it.

This was the best vise I could find at the $40 price point and ended up paying just $32 after a Capital Rewards discount. The only drawback is that it swivels only 240 degrees, rather than the full 360 degrees.I still have the full range of useful motion since it's mounted on the corner of my workbench.

Fits the bill for the diy person

A good vise is expensive. If you want a tool for your bench that will truly last a lifetime, you need to be prepared to shell out for it. However, it is always useful to have a couple of tools that are inexpensive, so that when you need to beat on something, you can whale on it without being too tearful when you destroy your tools. I bought this vice for that purpose.So far it has stood up to a few beatings that I did not think it would survive. It seems to be made of relatively ductile iron, which has stood it in good stead. The tail stock is pretty thin, and this vice is really well suited to lightweight and hobby situations. I put a pair of soft jaws on it. It lives on my bike mechanic bench, and it is perfect for that purpose. It's a good value for light to medium duty holding, and it will probably last a lifetime if I don't keep beating on it the way that I do. Did you notice it matches my shirt?

Just finally mounted my new vise on my work bench, had to get longer mounting bolts due to the ones that came with it was not long enough ( my work bench is 1” think) But he jaws are pretty stout, got to be careful with it, they will pinch down tight with little effort.

This is an awesome vise for the money i live in ga and I got this vise really fast. I am more than pleased with it mainly the features it has, for how much it cost and it's not brittle.
