I build wooden model ships,accurcy is most important to me.I have been able to make 1mm rip cuts from 3mm stock, as well as cuts on .25" plywood. I think negitive comments about mini saws is because people expect to much from a mini saw. Perfect for model construction small scale.

I work with small crafts, and often have to make long cuts on small pieces. This little saw has plenty of power and makes smooth cuts. The height of the blade is adjustable, and it also has an adjustable miter guide. It's small enough that I can sit it right on my workbench and get up close to it to make my cuts, and when I'm not using it it fits inside a drawer.

Great for small household jobs. I just finished some hardwood flooring where it was much easier and more precise than a portable circular saw. Its blade height is enough for a 2x4, which suffices for most household projects although being fixed makes groove cutting very difficult. If you plan to make furniture you might want to consider a bigger machine with flexible blade height. One minor design flaw came in having a plug in cord on the front (which could get tangled with the work) and a short cord at that. Thankfully I happened to have a longer cord to swap it out

Filled our needs

This saw worked perfectly in completely a weekend project of putting in a laminate floor in my bathroom. It worked great in trimming (or ripping) the 2 foot long planks. It exceeding my expectations. Very pleased with it.
