Such a good deal compared to Hayword

LED pool light of many color options. Give the pool a different look every night with fade and color or jump and color options. I’m having fun exploring all the available options and having fun experiences.

For starters I’ve been in commercial and residential construction for over 30 years, so I tend to look at a potential project where I look for items that will cause headaches or challenges. For this one, I was concerned with pulling the wire into my existing conduit that the pool builder installed, i.e. was it glued properly and most importantly for this project did he install the right size conduit? Well, since these lights are new technology LED’s they require less power, so the wire is much smaller see attached photo, the orange wire is the original light wire. I say this so you can save yourself a step, I pulled the old light wire out into the pool with a pull string attached then tied the new light wire to the pull string and then pulled the new lights back to the junction box. What I could have done was cut the existing light’s cord and tied the new lights to it inside the pool and in one step pulled the old wires out and the new wires in back to the junction box.

Plenty of LED lights to choose from these days. Several of them are very expensive. I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for so I was a little leary buying this one. I took the chance and bought it. It works great. Having the option to change the color is a nice option.

Really like this light. Nice and bright which was a concern. Great controls. Collars, speed of change, a brightness control. Really good and recommended

I replaced a Pentair 120v underwater unit in my inground pool with this 12v unit. The cost was 25% of the Pentair and that included the control unit/transformer. I also feel that 12v is intrinsically a lot safer than 120v for an underwater light. Now, I'm not completely in love with the controller and I may have to reverse engineer the bluetooth protocol to get it to switch between the best looking colors in my pool rather than the random selection which includes red (which doesn't look great), but that's a small quibble. It's bright and was an easy replacement. I'd recommend it.

Easy to install, more features than a Hayward lights at a small fraction of the cost. I will update on the longevity, but can be worst that. $1200 Hayward light that lasted just 1 year.

Works great and fits perfectly in original Pentair niche. Love the colors and easy changeover to low voltage. Red is def not as bright as others, but.... You will be happy with this product and the cost of it comparatively to the Pentair of Hayward.
