These are well built, supplied screws are a little small, So buy 1/4" lags to bolt to larger tabletops, the opening is approx. 2-5/8 x 5-3/4 for the necessary wood timber that needs to go at the bottom for any larger tabletop. Our tabletop was 96" x 44", So we cut down a 4x6 PT pine lumber from our local HD to the 2-1/2" width (the stock wood ht of 5-1/2' fit easily,) Also I had to drill 2 holes in each bracket to secure them into the wood beam with 4" lag screws/washers painted black. Very impressed with the sturdiness of these brackets when properly secured as mentioned above for our large 200 lb live edge table top.

Over all I like the table legs a lot, they look exactly the way I hoped they would. I have noticed there are a couple of cracks in the welds that hold the top plate to the rest of the leg structure. It does not seem to be critical but worth noting.

They were packaged in a thin carton at the factory then an outer carton was added prior to the order being shipped by UPS. The order arrived a day late. Probably due to the inner carton bursting on all sides and needing red-tailed. The legs were wrapped in 2 layers of bubble wrap so were undamaged. These were much less cost than identical items from other sellers, look sturdy, and will go under a handcrafted 3' x 6' x 1.5" table top with an added cherry stringer, as illustrated in the ad, between the legs. I expect to purchase more of these legs in the future, assuming I can harvest more Spalted maple of the same quantity to make more tops.The rectangular opening inside the legs is actually 2-3/4" x 6" on this set.
