Heater is very good for small 2 person saunas..super price for the quality of product...intuctions need help..not all that clear.

The heater was too small to heat up my home sauna. I have a nicely built, nicely insulated home sauna that is a little to big for the small heater. My return window closed before I ever tried it out and was disappointed that it was too small. I ordered the 9 KW heater, and boy that one is overkill, but I only have it on 25 minutes and turn it off, and have a nice hot steamy sauna at 130 degrees. The small heater works, just make sure your space is small enough for it.

I am heating an outdoor 4x6 sauna with 7 foot ceiling and can get it to at higher than 160 degrees which is as high as my thermometer goes. If you are building a new sauna make sure you insulate the crap out of it. I used 2 layers of polyurethane foam with the inner layer being foil faced for a vapor barrier then the cedar on top of that. Like all the other reviews say- make sure to use a 20 amp breaker with a 20 amp gfi and 12 gauge or bigger wiring. Lava rocks work the best with this heater. We tried other saina rocks first but lava rocks hold more water for steam. If you’re reading this and are in the market for a heater I highly recommend this one. I
