The unit I ordered had the closed faced bail (drum) and received the open drum. After first pass out, when retrieving cable and sending into line again, there is sewage water that is sprayed from the rotating drum/cable. Being open it proved to be quite a stinking mess.

I was pleased that the motor was powerful enough to turn a long run of stiff 1/2 inch cable through many bends. My complaints are the same as many other reviewers. Instructions are worthless to most Americans (can it be that expensive or difficult to improve?). I am an elderly American and therefore I am most accustomed to right hand threads, clockwise twists, and don’t readily think in metric terms and measurements. If you make machines with both right and left hand twists, I want to make that choice (not buy it and find out which I get). Thank you.

This machine works great. Price is good. Delivery was on time. Everything is great .

We used this machine once. It didn’t work well. The cable coil kept getting tangled within the machine stopping it from continuing into the pvc sewer pipe.

It’s excellent product

I've had the machine for over a year-I've only had to use it once and was elated-been about 8 months since a clog. There is a video on line-watch it- for me and I'm not young I thought it was easy to get around and use-there are techniques that come on the more you use it-I use it two more times and it paid for itself! Highly recommended!

Works like a professional level. Don’t plan on feeding pass the halfway length. Get the longest length cable, because after half of the cable is discharged, the cable gets loose and jams. And don’t use the reverse motor direction unless you want to unscrew the spiral cable tip off of the base of the cutter. Use your hand to guide the drum in reverse, just enough to get the kinks back out.

It is sturdy and well built it helps a lot if you own a restaurant or deli the best out there

Have a tree I just love, but many problems come with this tree. Roots being #1. I call it my 5k tree, but with the help of this machine the upkeep of root removal will lower the price of my tree..
