Chimney fires are destructive, deadly and extremely difficult to extinguish, so I use this kit once a year to clean the creosote buildup out of my chimney. It's dirty work (think Mary Poppins) and involves getting on the roof, removing the chimney cap and using a battery-powered drill to work your way down the chimney from the top, installing additional segments of rod as you go.Tape a sheet of plastic over the opening of your fireplace and make sure it's as airtight as possible, unless you want to clean a fine layer of creosote off literally every surface in your house later.This kit is a good value for the money, the brushes are a bit flimsy but I only use it once a year so it's good enough.

What a game changer. The thought of cleaning my stove pipe was one thing i put off. No more and never again. This unit was so easy to use. It was fast and did an amazing job. We were getting smoke back into the house . I dreaded how to clean out pipe. I bought this and in 5 minutes my pipe was clear and drafting like it did when the pipe was new. I have bought a second unit now for even greater length. This is truly a safety item forwood burning stoves.

I found it easy enough to use and bought another kit the same on account of I broke a section but it was my fault in the learning curve and now I have extra pieces, just in case. Sweep wanted $450 to come out here and clean one chimney and leave his paw prints all over the wall and soot on the carpet. This was my favorite purchase from 2022. Perfect for anyone inclined to DIY. Others have said the connectors are hard to manage. I didn't find that to be true but my hands are smaller so maybe it's easier for me to push them in.

I bought this tool hoping it would be satisfactory and was more than surprised to find it was excellent quality and performed better than I expected. One cleaning and it already paid for itself vs. paying a chimney sweep.

This chimney sweeping device did exactly what it was advertised to do. It was easy to set up easy to use easy to take apart. I highly recommend this product.

It was easy to use on my wood stove chimney pipe. Disassembled pipe on inside of house, and cleaned upward. Cut a small hole in a plastic bag, taped around pipe to catch the soot. Works great and saves a lot of money over hiring a service.

I've only used the kit once, but it made cleaning my chimney a quick and painless process. No more going up on the roof, regularly.
