To begin with, it seems like all the reviews here (85 at the time of posting) are for every vacuum sealer Vevor sells or has sold in the past all lumped together, not the specific model you may think you are reading about. This review is specifically for the DZ-260C with the larger 320 x 10 mm sealing bar purchased in early 2023. The item came well packaged in a double wall cardboard box. The box had some questionable damage, but the unit inside was just fine. As far as the “2-day Free Delivery” goes, that really does not exist unless you live close by. In fact, I ordered my unit on a Saturday morning and it didn’t leave Vevor until the following Thursday. (Even though they printed the UPS Ground shipping label on Tuesday and told me it shipped, it in fact sat in their warehouse and left on Thursday, 5 days after the order.) The unit arrived at my USA home on Tuesday, 10 days after the order was placed, 5 days sitting in the warehouse and another 5 days in UPS Ground transit from CA to AL. The oil provided with the unit smells rancid, and that rancid smell emits from the unit whenever it is used, even when filled to the lower side of half to 3/4 of the fill sight window, both my wife and I agreed to move the unit out of the kitchen due to the awful smell when used. The fresh oil in the bottle smells rancid, as does the used oil. After I ran the unit several times as a break in, I changed out that rancid factory oil with some ISO100 synthetic pump oil, and the smell is much better, not completely gone, but much better and tolerable. You can see in the picture how dark the factory oil got from just 7 or 8 individual uses, about 5 minutes of total run time. New factory oil on right, used on the left. I sent this info to Vevor along with several pictures, and they said the oil and smell were normal. Beyond the shipping and oil issue, the unit has been running fine in the couple weeks we have owned it, all the internals were inspected when I first put the oil in, and everything was tight, it pulls a good vacuum and generally functions very well. Some of the models being sold by other companies (seems all chamber vacs are made in China even if sold by American companies) have a marinade function button, this one can be used the same way if you just set the sealing time to 0.0, so don’t let that deter you. If you are wondering about sealing mason jars, I can fit 4 of the 16oz pint jars in mine, these are the fat squatty wide mouth pint jars about 3.75” tall, not the standard thinner taller ones, those won’t fit. They were really available at my local walmart. We shop in bulk and I’m looking forward to upping my freezer game with this device, so far I like it, just had to get past the initial hurdles, and hope it lasts a good long time since support and repair parts may be an issue if/when needed. If not, it’s still half to a third the cost of comparable units, so even if it needed to be replaced after the 1yr warranty, I’d still be ahe
