There are things you want to be aware of besides safety. Like not mounting directly on the sprockets. This leaves a smaller cutting width than I was expecting, but just means I will need to get an even longer bar. Assembly required, but not that hard to figure out, again some trial and error may be needed. I am pleased with the purchase.

Works well but is hard to adjust board thickness. I didn't have a ripping chain to begin with but, so it took a long time to go through one slab, but once I got the right chain(ripping) it went so much better.

I had to buy some missing parts and they are metric which is hard to find in a carriage bolt.But so far the product does what it is supposed to do. I am happy with it size and will be using it much more.

It was a bit cumbersome to set up, but I'm sure I'll be very happy with it once I start milling logs.

but do yourself a favor and go ahead and buy the rails or whatever the other attachment is called. 2x4" work fine though.

love this mill, glad I was able to find it here and at a reasonable price, too. Have been having so much fun with this. Making siding because I'm able to cut boards as thin as 1/2 inch and beams up to 10-12". It's also very safe to use. I'm disabled and unsteady and I don't have to worry about getting hurt.

Great product and easy to put together.
