Looks great as deck railing
I cut the cable both with large bolt cutters and the legit cable cutters. Both methods produced fine cuts. (FWIW, I gave one wrap with painter's tape for good measure.) No rust after being in the rain for about a month. No kinks or any other flaws in the cable.
